Rose Patrick is the Chief Financial Officer responsible for coordinating and reporting on the financial aspects of our captives, the risk retention group, as well as for Venture Captive Management, LLC. Her role includes having oversight on all the accounting, audit, tax, and financial reporting. She has over 20 years of financial and management accounting experience, as well as auditing experience in various sectors, but primarily in the financial sector.
Rose is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA, UK), with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) experience, who graduated with her Masters in Accounting (Honors) from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. She gained her extensive experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Bank Of Nova Scotia Jamaica Ltd., Scotia Jamaica Life Insurance Company Ltd., and since 2009 at Venture Captive Management, LLC in various roles.
Her interests outside of work are playing tennis and travelling.
Ebriam Abdul is a Senior Accountant with over 15 years accounting experience, with extensive knowledge in the Accounts Payable process. He is currently responsible for the accounts payable functions for all our clients, as well as for Venture Captive Management, LLC, along with the responsibility of preparing the monthly account reconciliations, preparation and issuance of the larger captives Financial Statements.
He has an Associate Degree in Accounting at the Ilsa College in Zimbabwe. He gained his accounting experience at Fahlgren Entertainment, Berlin Atlantic Capital, GA Flooring Inc, AFC Worldwide Express, and since 2011 at Venture Captive Management, LLC.
His interests outside of work are hiking, fishing, and camping.
Christian Tyler Chatman is the Staff Accountant at Venture Captive Management, whose primary responsibility is the Accounts Receivables process for all the captives, risk retention group and VCM, LLC. She also assists with the month-end close process for the captives and the risk retention group, by reconciling bank and investment broker statements of varying portfolio sizes. Christian is an Accounting and Finance professional with over 8 years of experience in banking and insurance, prior to joining the VCM Team. Her experience and exposure to international accounts, financial systems, and full cycle accounting practices, enhanced and broadened her skills in the accounting profession.
Christian received her Bachelor’s Degree from American Intercontinental University in Accounting, and is currently completing coursework to obtain her Master’s Degree in Public Accounting.
In her spare time, she enjoys making jewelry and participating in craft festivals.
Van Nguyen is a Senior Accountant with over 10 years of insurance accounting experience. She is currently responsible for month-end closing and financial reporting. She graduated from Georgia State University with a B.B.A in Finance and graduated from Keller School of Management with a Master degree in Accounting.
Her interest outside of work is gardening.
Rachel joins the Venture Captive Management team bringing several years of office administrative service experience, including a recent position at an insurance agency. She will be responsible for a variety of company administrative functions to provide operational support for underwriting, accounting, compliance, and the corporate management.
She graduated magna cum laude from Georgia Gwinnett College and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Glenna Pamphile joined Venture Captive Management as a Sr. Casualty Underwriter. Her responsibilities include involvement in both new and renewal risk underwriting, policy management, account administration, claims review, and marketing of Risk Retention Groups and Captive accounts.
Glenna joins Venture Captive Management with a variety of insurance and finance expertise. She brings 11 years of experience partnering with property & casualty insurance carriers, managing general agents, and policy premium finance companies to both standard and excess/surplus lines markets.
Glenna earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from State University of New York at Brockport. She also holds two Masters Degrees in Human Resource Development from St. John Fisher College and an M.B.A. concentrating on Finance & Risk Management from Capella University. Glenna has been a licensed Property and Casualty agent/broker since 2013 and is currently working to achieve her C.P.C.U. designation.
Dale Borer brings a wealth of knowledge to Venture Captive Management as Senior Underwriter. She is charged with underwriting both Captive and Risk Retention Group accounts. She has a diverse background with over 30 years of industry experience as a Wholesale Broker, Account Executive, Instructor and Property & Casualty underwriter specializing in Professional Liability, Management Liability, Environmental, and Technology accounts.
Dale is very active in the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), and is Past Chairperson of the Southeast chapter, as well as Past President of the Georgia Surplus Lines Association. Dale holds Property and Casualty and Surplus Lines licenses in multiple states. She studied Risk Management at Brooklyn College and St Johns University.
Her interests outside of work include gardening, reading, photography and dancing.
Gia Nedd joined the Venture Captive Management team as an Underwriter in the Risk Retention Group bringing more than 20 years of Insurance experience. Her primary responsibility is to evaluate each risk to ensure our rates are profitable and competitive in the current market. Some previous positions held were Underwriter, Consultant and Account Manager with some major companies such as AIG and MetLife as well as some national and local brokerage firms. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Shorter University in Rome, Georgia. Gia currently holds licenses in Property and Casualty, Life Accident and Health Agent/Broker and just recently Property Casualty Adjuster.
Her interests outside of work include spending time with family and participating in community service projects.
Matthew Queen is Venture Captive Management’s chief compliance officer and general counsel. He is responsible for regulatory compliance, program development, and claims management for captive insurance companies and risk retention groups. Prior to VCM, Matthew developed his knowledge base by defending multinational corporations in state, federal, and administrative courts and provided state and local tax minimization strategies for Fortune 500 companies as a tax accountant in a Big 4 consulting firm.
Matthew holds an undergraduate degree in business management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and advanced degrees in law and taxation from Georgia State University.
Shavonne Osborne is our Information Technology Manager responsible for oversight of the company’s IT assets, network, and websites. She supports our Risk Retention Group SharePoint Portal and is responsible for managing the network and data analytics for the Risk Retention Group, as well as, captive formation and management. Her role includes application support, development, implementation and systems analysis.
Shavonne has an impressive resume which spans over 27 years of service in the IT industry with a government focus. She began her career as a Help Desk Analyst. It was during this time she found her passion and love for IT. Her desire to help people and the joy she found in supporting end users, solidified her choice to go back to school to earn a degree in Technology. While working a full-time job and being a full-time mom, Shavonne became an expert in time management to go on to earn her BS in Computing and Information Systems in 2003 from her alma mater, Mississippi College.
Shavonne’s work ethic has allowed her to work her way up through the ranks. She’s been afforded the opportunity to learn new technologies and apply that knowledge while supporting our armed forces. She has worked for the United States Army and went on to support our Veterans at the G.V. Sonny Montgomery Hospital as an IT Specialist INET.
Shavonne is the proud mother of four children. When not working, she enjoys spending quality time with her daughters and is an active member of a domestic violence organization, Butterflies By Grace Defined By Faith. She has served this nonprofit organization proudly for over seven years.
